We spoke with Gretchen Inman, owner of Brighter Days Assisted Living, about her business’ online presence.
When asked what makes them stand out, she said, “It’s all about family. We treat everyone like family here. We provide more one-on-one care and they end up becoming family to us. Their health and mental health are very important to us and we want this to be as close to home for them as it is to us.”
Building Success Through Active Communication and Family Focused Care
Of course, we wanted to know what the Brighter Days secret to success is. Gretchen said, “Communicating with the families through social media. Especially the families that can’t visit as often as they would like. We really like to keep them up to date with their loved ones even if they can’t always visit. We have a lot of volunteer groups that come in and we like to recognize them as well. We have a local newspaper we like to reach out to and share some of our memories with for the year. We also have a small local radio station we like to work with. We have so many people that come in and out to help! Our community is excellent at helping us spread the word about the love we provide at our home.”
So, what is the advice Gretchen would give to other businesses regarding online success? “Your heart has to be in it. Don’t just do it for the money. You have to be involved in what you do and what you believe. It’s a life-long commitment that I’ll never be able to let go.”
