We wanted to learn all about The Canyons Retirement Community and its impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with Executive Administrator Jordan Hartman.
The first question we had for Jordan was what is it that sets The Canyons Retirement Community apart from their competition in Idaho. Here’s Jordan’s response:
“We really do care. A lot of times, myself and the staff are here for a reason outside of just earning a paycheck — we make sure we are here to serve others. The residents are the ones who are providing our paychecks, and we want to take care of them with kindness and care. We run this building as if it was our own parents or family members who were our residents. We also strive to bring in great food and activities. We have a culinary chef who brings in a variety of options for food, and we try to provide a multitude of activities that residents can participate in.”
We also wanted to know what their mission is at The Canyons Retirement Community and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Jordan had to say:
“Our mission and vision is to find joy in the journey. There is a lasting joy that comes from providing a critical service to those facing difficulties and challenges with their health and in their lives. These are the things that provide lasting joy. …Our employees strive to have positive attitudes towards their duties and the facility. Our objective is to confirm our commitment to the company through the use of our customer service philosophies, employee morale building, personal goals and projected timelines. These tools will be utilized in a manner that is both measurable and effective.”

Jordan attributes The Canyons Retirement Community’s strong online reputation to the fact that they truly care about their residents and staff, to their great food and beautiful building, and to their culture and environment. He added:
