We wanted to learn what makes this award-winning business tick, so we took a few minutes to talk with Don Markum, the owner of FASTSIGNS of Lexington.
To kick off our conversation, we asked Don about what it is that makes FASTSIGNS of Lexington unique compared to the many other sign companies in Kentucky. Don told us:
“We are not a fly-by-night kind of company; we have been open for 30 years. I would put our reputation for quality, service and timeliness against everybody. We have really good buying power, being a franchise, so that is definitely an advantage.”
Don went on to tell us that he and his team of 11 employees are having a record year this year.
We also asked Don about the FASTSIGNS of Lexington mission and how they work to make the world a better place. Don shared with us a few of the ways they give back to their community:
“We pick out different organizations each year that we do charity work with. We try not to keep it all with the same organizations. We work with the American Cancer Society, and we donate a lot of signs for many different causes. We have done a ton of work for the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital as well.”
