Colorado’s Top Rated Local® Veterinarian Award Winner: Alpine Hospital for Animals

We are pleased to announce that the caring and compassionate team at Alpine Hospital for Animals has won a 2018 Top Rated Local® award, due to their exemplary care and 99.56 Rating Score™. Here are a couple of the shining reviews that earned them this honor:

“These guys are great. They treat us like family. Every single person there, whether they be a receptionist, technician, or doctor, is smart, efficient, and welcoming. We visit several times a year for our two dogs. I’ve called for a million reasons, big and small, and they always take the time to thoroughly answer my questions. The staff is so knowledgeable and caring. They provide ample information and allow me to make decisions on the best path for care. Everyone I’ve dealt with at Alpine is exceedingly competent, intelligent, and compassionate. We trust them.” -Kate F.

“We have been bringing our two Siberian Huskies here for about a year, and we love everything about it. The staff is wonderful, and the vets are caring and gentle with our dogs. I recently became even more impressed when, after I had to take one of my dogs to the emergency room, the staff at Alpine called me twice in less than a week to see how my dog was doing. They genuinely care about all their patients.” -Amy S.

Co-Owner, Amanda Mones took a moment to speak with us about her business, their community impact, and their online reputation. Here’s what she thought we should know:

What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?

There’s really no secret. We just work hard and care about what we do!

What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?

We try to be genuine and honest about who we are. Our mission is to empower our patient’s guardians to make the right decisions for the animals. We educate the guardians, and if they’re willing to move forward with us, we welcome that. We don’t try to pressure anyone into doing something they’re not comfortable with.

Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?

We purchased Alpine because it mirrored our philosophy of holistic medicine. We try to be compassionate and mindful and to treat every animal as if they were our own. We’ve been a mainstay in the Boulder community for a long time. We take pride in practicing a high quality of medicine that is compassionate, and we want our guardians to know why they are making the decisions they are.

Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?

We don’t do much! People know us. Word of mouth is how we grow. We do some community outreach, including working with the Boulder police department’s police dogs, working with rescues, and supporting the arts. We support the community that we live and work in, and people see us as the animal hospital they can trust. We take that very seriously.

What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?

Every day, I try to encourage everyone to be the best they can in whatever they do. Make sure you love what you do, and that you’re able to bring that passion into your work. That will help people trust in your services. Be proud of what you do every day! There’s nothing we do that we wouldn’t mind seeing in a newspaper. We do make mistakes, but we learn from them, and we’re open to that.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Amanda! We appreciate your time and the work that you do. We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone on the Alpine Hospital for Animals team on your Top Rated Local award.
