We do a weekly breakfast, where we teach marketing, sales, investing and managing finances… On top of that, all of our employees are required to invest 10 percent of their wages into a winter fund, which we match 50 percent of. Some invest more. They receive that bonus on February 1st. We shut down our business February 1st thru March 15th. When all of our competitors are laying off their staff for the winter and those guys are looking for work, our employees have the opportunity to go on vacation or just relax.. Also, by investing that 10 percent, it teaches them a lot about saving money. Some of the guys have mentioned going on vacation, buying new cars and investing in their own small business ventures. It’s very exciting and fun to watch the funds grow!”
