We were excited to learn all about Tiffany’s Salon and Spa and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Ray Hennessey.

The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Tiffany’s Salon and Spa stand apart from its competitors. Ray told us that with over 54 years of experience in the town of Barrington, they are able to offer their clients a tremendous amount of experience.

We asked Ray what their mission is at Tiffany’s Salon and Spa. He said:

“We try to do our best to send them out of the salon with a smile and make sure that whoever they were in contact with in the salon made them feel like they were part of our family and they’re experience was 110 percent. We’re very concerned and compassionate about everything in their lives. We listen to them, and if there is something we can help them with other than their hair, we’re welcome to do that. We’re always open as far as things like that go.”

Ray also told us about the importance of having a quality team and how their salon tries to work as a supportive group:

“The hairdressing industry has changed considerably. A lot of it is all about ‘me’ and ‘I.’ I think that if we [want to accomplish anything], it needs to be more about teamwork and about the group performing as opposed to individuals performing. We try to stay away from individual performance and try to create team performance, which gives us maximum quality and enables the client to be with all of our staff as opposed to an ‘it’s my client’ type of mentality.”

We were excited to learn all about Seven Hills Salon & Spa and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Kim Russell.

The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Seven Hills Salon & Spa stand apart from its competitors. Kim told us about the years of experience she and her team bring to the table:

“Most of us have been doing hair for 10 to 15 years. I’ve owned this salon for 30 years. I started working out of my home for the first 10 years of my career. I love making people beautiful. I think when they come in, they feel that.”

Seven Hills Salon & Spa has earned a stellar reputation, so we were excited to hear about some of the ways they have gotten their name out and grown their business. Kim told us that they are located inside a hotel, so they get many new guests thanks to their location. She also said that their primary source for new business has consistently been word of mouth.

Of course, Seven Hills Salon & Spa is also committed to giving back to their community. For the last 10 years, at Christmastime, they have worked with a local school to give haircuts to children who might not otherwise be able to afford them. They send them off with a bag of candy after their cut, and in recent years, they have also been able to give them toys, thanks to customer donations.

Each social media has a different audience, so talk to the right audience on each one. Reach out to the people who know each avenue best. So, use whichever is strongest to help you. Also, make sure you’re on it, yourself! I think that the best way to learn about an online presence is to be on it yourself, then you can figure out what you like doing and what you like seeing and try to replicate or create a similar vibe on social media for your company.”
