Casting Keepsakes and the Luna Bean brand are based in the United States. We were sisters caring for our new infants who started in a kitchen in 2002 while taking a leave of absence from our careers of biomedical engineering and accounting. Intrigued with life casting, yet not being able to find what we were looking for, we put together our own infant casting kit. From there, we have added various sizes and styles so that you too can create your own one-of-a-kind keepsake in the comfort of your own home.

I ordered a kit for my daughter to do her second child's foot and hand. She said this was a lot better than the kit I got for her 3 years ago. (different company). She was very pleased with the results.

We're glad to improve upon your experience with the other company. Thanks for the great review.

Very fast. Ordered over 20 kits to create hands with a family member who was sick. Don’t know what we did wrong but all 20 full of bubbles that make hands look like diseased frog skin. We can pop and file the bubbles off. Probably operator error...

Thank you for the feedback, Sarah. We highly suggest watching the videos to help eliminate bubbles like you experienced. Your happiness in creating your keepsake is our ultimate priority and we will always do what we can to make everything right! I bought this set to do for a Christmas gift for my mom and she absolutely loved it. It turned out so well. I did pay extra for express shipping because I was worried it wouldn’t come on time and it came when it said it would. Overall it’s a great kit and product!

The first one didn't work out for some reason so we got a 2nd one. Made a hand holding casting for our 20th anniversary and it turned out perfectly! Can't get over the details that it captured, each line of our hands and the details of our wedding rings, just love it.

That sounds like a great gift idea for a 20th anniversary. Glad it turned out great for you.

Turned out beautifully! Have two casts of my mom and dad holding hands shortly before she passed. The detail is almost eerie. Such a wonderful memory to have for us and my dad. The instructions were a little intimidating, but sooo thorough! I recommend watching the video to help visualize the instructions. Thank you!

We're so glad you have this keepsake to remember your parents. We agree that the videos are very helpful.

The final placement of the casting material yielded an uneven mounting service. I have to either buildup or remove material so the moulded hands stand upright. I put the mould on a level surface during the placement of the casting material and still came out with an even base to standup. You all need to reiterate in your instruction to make aware to the end users that this step is crucial. CM

Thank you for your honest review. It is the placement/angle of the hands in the mold that will determine the angle of the finished casting relative to a table top surface.
