Please do not use EZ Locksmith. They charged us over $3,000 for a $600 job. And they won’t work with us on a reasonable resolution.
We recently purchased a new home and our realtor recommended Englewood Locksmith. We inadvertently called EZ Locksmith (wrong phone number) who represented themselves as Englewood locksmith when they answered. EZ Locksmith is actually a “broker” for locksmiths but we didn’t know that until a conversation later when we were trying to find a reasonable resolution with EZ.
We used Yelp to obtain a handful of quotes that ranged from $175 to $600. The real Englewood Locksmith quoted $600. However, since we erroneously dialed EZ Locksmith (we own that mistake) and they represented themselves as Englewood Locksmith on the call, we asked them to come out to replace our lock sets. They charged us over $3,000 with the locksmith sitting in our kitchen demanding that my wife pay in cash. She paid by credit card and we are currently disputing the charge via the credit card company since EZ Locksmith would not work with us on any other outcome other than overcharging us by 5 times.
Please do not make the same mistake that we did. It’s so unfortunate that they take advantage of people and are unwilling to work it out when discovered. Please avoid them- we wish we had never met them!
