My children (ages 10 and 8) and I have been attending Worthington Martial Arts Institute (WMAI) for 5 years and have experienced tremendous growth in both our physical and mental strength. Not only are we learning self-defense techniques and traditional martial art forms, but we are also benefitting from the leadership development aspects of the program. Since my boys have been attending WMAI I have seen them improve with their listening, focus, and respect both at school and at home. Additionally, the curriculum taught by Mike and Stephanie Scarbrough helps kids deal with stressful situations, like bullying. They have a way of, through martial arts, homing in on what you need to improve on and helping you achieve your goals.
