I would NOT recommend this company at any cost. The customer service is horrible and my overall experience was a disaster. The owner himself, Rafael, contacted me about my move from Pennsylvania to Chicago and I explained to him that I already had a company in mind. He convinced me to pick his company because he told me that he would give me a better deal and that his company is a local company out of Chicago, and they will take great care of my stuff. He quoted me $1,500 to move my furnishings for a one-bedroom apartment and in addition up to 45 days of free storage until I found a new place to live in Chicago. I scheduled my move the first week of March and explained to him that I needed my belongings moved on April 16th. He promised/ guaranteed me that it would be done that day. I reiterated to him that I was starting my drive to Chicago on the 17th of April and I started my new job on Monday the 19th. He again assured me that someone would be there on the 16th of April. So, by Wednesday the week of the move I called the office, and no one would answer or call me back. I left many voice mails and again no response. I even emailed Rafael himself and he refused to call or email me back. The next day, Thursday I called and called again with the same result of no answer. Finally, at 8:30 PM Thursday night the day before they were supposed to move me, I got call stating that my move is not happening the next day. They said the best they can do is Saturday the 17th between 3-5 pm. I explained to them that I was contracted by the owner himself and guaranteed a move on the 16th. I was basically told “Oh well deal with it.” So, the next day, Friday the 16th in the afternoon the driver called me and said he was behind schedule and he would not get to me until Sunday Morning the 18th. I explained to him that I needed to leave for Chicago to start my new job but he told me that there was nothing he could do about it. I again called the office and emailed the owner with again no response or call back. On Sunday the driver and his partner showed up at 830 am. The driver did a walk through and did an inventory. His partner went missing almost the entire time during the move. I had to help the driver move stuff to the truck so the job would get done. After the job was done I was told about all the extra costs that I was getting charged that were not discussed during the initial quote. I was charged $75 per 7 stair steps, $50 to re-box my TV, plus I had to give them 70% of the balance, which I was fine with but was not expecting the extra costs. A week after I got to Chicago and started my new job, I called the office to notify them that I found a place in Chicago and that I wanted my stuff delivered in a week to my new apartment. Alex the person in charge of customer service stated that I have 45 days of storage and I will get my stuff at the end of May. I explained to him I was told by Rafael that I could call with a week’s advance notice to get my things. He said “No” and hung up! This is when I decided that it was time to contact a lawyer, and he emailed the owner Rafael. I guess that was what was needed to get Rafael to email me back. He emailed me wanting to know why I was threating him and that I would get my stuff on Saturday May 1 between 11-2. On Saturday May 1 I got a phone call at 4:45 PM stating no one was coming and that they would be there Sunday May 2 at 11 am, and they abruptly hung up. I emailed Rafael again explaining that he and his company again breached my contract but I got no response. Sunday May 2, the guys showed up and wanted the rest of my payment plus, the additional charges for stairs and a new charge of a long-distance haul of more than 50 feet. After, my stuff was brought in my new place, I did a walk through and told them that I was missing a few things and that my bookshelf was broken. One of the movers said he would look for it in the storage unit at the company the next day. I emailed Rafael to explain to him that I was missing stuff but again received no call back or response. In my email I explained to Rafael that I have moved many times in my life since I grew up in the military and was in the military and this move by far was the worst experience ever. I would highly recommend that no one use this company. They do not care about your stuff or have customer service. I will be filing a law suit and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
