Our counter top templating and installation was subbed out to John Padgett Construction. This company is to install our back splash too. We thought ProSource was handling all and we were never told until after paying that Padgett Construction would now be our contact for this job. Mr. Padgett does not return calls and when his templaters put 2 exacta knife cuts in one brand new cabinet door and a small gouge in another, Mr. Padgett does not respond. I sent him a text showing the damage. I have paid for all material but to this date, have no idea when my back splash is to be installed....and where my back splash material is being held. I wish I would have known our job was going to be outsourced because I would have liked to check out this contractor first. When I advised ProSource of the problems we are having with Padgett Construction, I was informed that Pro Source was out of the picture....even though Padgett Construction was THEIR choice of vendor and not ours. Also, when his templators were done, they NEVER discussed seam placement or anything about the job with us other than how far we wanted the over hang for the bar stools to come out to. They just said, "We are finished" and left. They may have been done like this hoping we would only find the damage they did after they left...and that is indeed what happened. A few days later, this company showed up unannounced in my driveway with the WRONG counter top and the crew consisted of 2 non English speaking men. We got them to finally understand that this was not our counter--ours was white and the one they came with was mostly black. They wanted to come back in 30 minutes with my countertop....the drive to the shop takes longer than that and we already had set another date for our install. It was all left up to us to drive to the shop to discuss seam placement and we did this the very next day after the templating was done. My friends say the templators are supposed to go over seam placement at your home so you can decide which way would work best. I didn't want any seams and offered to buy more material but they nixed that offer. Needless to say, we are worried about our outcome.
