Experience was so good that I recommended Davis to my next door neighbor. He then contacted you and compared with other firms. My recommendation was what made him choose you. I am a "Wrench Head" and am somewhat critical of service firms. You met most of my standards. Only thing I was not satisfied with was I requested (and paid for ) new tubing with out any cuts or fittings between the compressor and the air handler (to prevent future leaks. This was specified to reduce the chances of a leak in the tubing which was one reason the system was being replaced. I had told the technicians at the start of the installation that if there was any questions or anything in their way to tell me and I would take care of what ever it was. Unfortunately they did not tell me that their access to a small attic was blocked by clothing boxes, etc., which I would have cleared within 5-10 minutes. Instead they didn't tell me and proceeded to splice the old tubing that was in the attic with the new tubing they were installing. When I was told about this I was very disappointed that I was going to be left with 2 potential leak sources. I almost told them to replace the tubing with a single length, just as the original contract called for. A family member persuaded me not to at that time. I did tell the mechanic that if a leak developed at either of those connecting I would be expecting Davis to replace all the tubing from the condenser to the air handler with one single piece of tubing. This also included my expectation that I would not be charged for any refrigerant that had leaked or from the system having to be recharged or any other costs associated with this incorrect and unspecified change in the original signed contract. If the tubing problem hadn't occurred I would have given all 5 stars.
