We have been using the board and train program for over 10 years for both of our Labrador Retrievers. The training has been amazing and the staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

Dog Days was exactly where I needed to take my energetic GSD! They have a very knowledgeable staff and great strategies to help me form a better relationship with my pup. They also have a great agility field and pond that have been awesome for me to use as well. I can’t recommend them enough!!

I brought my out of control Australian Shepherd to Laurie and Dog Days and they completely changed my relationship with Frisco. They showed me how to reinforce good behavior and gave me the skills and confidence to get my dog to listen so I could get him off leash. If you need help with your dog this is the place to go!

We love Dog Days! Over the years we have sent four of our pups to them for board and train and spent many hours in their group classes. Laurie is a wealth of knowledge and someone you can trust. Adam has been amazing and has provided prompt responses to questions about a new pup we rescued in a very kind and supportive manner. You can definitely trust that you and your dogs will be well trained and well supported by Laurie and her incredible staff at Dog Days.

Great trainers, great people and amazing facility. Laurie and her team helped with a variety of issues I was having with my Corgi. He walks better on leash and is quieter in the house. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for excellent dog trainers!

I had heard of Laurie Buffington for years before I met her and I cannot stress enough what working with Laurie has meant to me and my two Pitty mixes. On my first visit with the two dogs to Laurie she saw instantly what the biggest problems were and they rested solely with me. She doesn’t sugar coat it but she is fair and spot on and wants what is best for the dogs and their people. I had lived on an 80- acre farm so I had gotten away with letting things slide. Now I am living in town with lots of neighbors, dogs and kids. It was complete pandemonium any time someone had the audacity to walk their dog by our fenced yard or past our picture window. I thought I would lose my mind. She gave us concrete steps to take and exercises to do. I needed to take charge of my dogs, not in an aggressive way but in a way that relieved them of the duty to take care of us and reassure them that I “ had this”. It has been hard daily work because just like with horses, whether or not you believe it, you are always training. They are looking to you for their cues. We have come a long way and I am so much happier and so proud of my pups. After getting the fence running and front window under control, we could begin in earnest to work on other issues. At the beginning of each session, Laurie watches you interact with your dogs, sets up training opportunities and gives excellent advice, which I have taken to heart from day one. Then she asks what other issues might be cropping up and gives specific suggestions for how to correct them. I look forward to each session and my home is sooooo much more peaceful and I truly believe the dogs are happier and more confidant. I know I sure am! Could I have asked Laurie to train my dogs? Yes, I could have, but that begs the reality that I needed training as much, maybe more so, than the dogs. I have learned from some of the best horse trainers that horses are easy to train—it’s the owners that are often tougher. I think it is the same with dogs. If you think you know it all, think again. There is so much more that we as owners could be giving our dogs and everyone will be happier and the better for it. I never want my dogs to be automatons because they are living sentient beings but I do want them to be good citizens as well as happy confidant ones. I will be ever grateful to Laurie for setting us on the right path and I look forward to continuing that work with her as we move forward. She has spent her life learning to understand dog behavior and keep people and their pets safe. I can’t recommend her and Dog Days Training Center heartily enough. It is a safe environment for learning what your best friends need and how to translate that into real time exercises that pay off one hundred fold. Please, I mean it from the bottom of my heart, make your first appointment. We all have to start somewhere.

A month into owning a new field Labrador puppy, we knew we needed serious help. This puppy was unlike any dog we’d ever had before – full of crazy energy, not at all connected to us and fearful to boot. Laurie and her skilled staff at Dog Days Training Center were the answer to our struggles. In addition to attending training classes, we utilized Dog Days’ “Board and Train” program. After her first boarding session, we received a detailed behavioral profile of our puppy giving us a foundational understanding of her strengths and weaknesses, along with the specific tools that we desperately needed. It’s been hard work, but we have found that following all of the feedback and information provided has been invaluable! We so appreciate everything that Dog Days has provided for us, and are extremely grateful for all their help. Vanta has gone from being an out-of-control and extremely fearful puppy to a communicative, happy and obedient dog whom we can’t imagine being without. We would probably have had to give up our now amazing dog were it not for their expertise and support. To this day, our dog loves going to Dog Days for boarding, which includes lots of running around, play time and swimming!

I highly recommend Dog Days Training Center. They know dogs better than any other center that I’ve ever used. My wild little beagle is finally becoming a more controlled young lady.

Laurie Buffington and her staff does an excellent job of teaching me why my dog is behaving the way she does, how to fix it and how to stop it before it happens in the future. Laurie, Adam and Sally are patient with me and my dog, I highly recommend Dog Days.
