Don W Anthis CPA

Don’s goal is to Make Your Life Less Taxing. Don has more than 40 years of experience as a CPA. He has a heart to help clients take steps forward on their Financial Freedom journey. He consults and prepares tax returns for small businesses and individuals. Don is part of the Dave Ramsey team as an Endorsed Local Provider for tax services, and having completed the Dave Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training he offers financial coaching sessions to those who need personalized help to get their finances back on track. Don began his accounting and tax career at Arthur Andersen in the small business consulting division where he performed audits, prepared tax returns, and consulted for small business owners. Five years thereafter, Don became CFO at a large contractor firm. Under the owner’s leadership, Don and a co-worker designed and implemented a contractor cost accounting system. After a short stint working in Kuwait, Don opened his own CPA firm, Anthis & Company. He has prepared over 25,000 tax returns and has consulted for hundreds of small businesses during his career. He took advantage of the flexible hours to be involved with coaching his children’s baseball and basketball teams, leading Cub Scout & Boy Scout Troops, and serving as a deacon at church. Additionally, Don served 7 years as an adjunct professor at Tomball College teaching financial and managerial accounting courses
