The trainers at The Greenville Dog Wizard are knowledgeable of all proven training methods. After a free evaluation, the trainer will educate you on the pros and cons of each method and make a professional recommendation regarding which style will produce the results you desire. The most important part is NOT that your dog learns the ?Come? command, but that he will do it no matter what else is going on. In other words, what good is the ?Come? command if your dog will only perform it in a sterile environment? The same is true for all commands. For example, anyone can teach their dog to ?Sit? on the kitchen floor, but can you get your dog to ?Sit? at the park as other people, dogs, and kids walk by? Your dog should listen to you whether you are in your kitchen, at the local park, or in the middle of a three ring circus. In addition, the owner plays a major role in the success of any dog obedience program. Of course we can teach your dog to perform for us, but our specialty lies in the ability to transfer these skills to you and every member of your family regardless of age, size, or strength (as long as he or she can speak clearly or give hand signals).

Tara and her team are truly the best of the best. Tucker, our puppy, is incredibly willful. He listened when he wanted to (not optimal), would bolt through doors, jump on people, and just have an incredibly insane amount of energy. So, we signed him for two weeks with the Greenville Dog Wizard. Not only did Tara and her team take incredible care of Tucker, they kept me updated every step of the way, texting me, sending me photos and videos, and of course, posting his progress on Facebook. We just picked Tucker up to take him home and all I can say is WOW. What an incredible difference. This puppy that couldn't sit still for five seconds now listens to every command he's given, has stopped his bolting, and is so much better about his jumping. I couldn't be more impressed! I am so thankful for Tara, her team, and their amazing work with Tucker!!

A year ago we decided to add to our fur family. So we took a trip to Greenville animal care. We went with the intentions of a puppy maybe up to 6 months old but instead ended up adopting a one year old. We went and picked this her up and she didn’t want to get in the car and she was very stand offish towards us. Ok just thought it was from being at the shelter. We get her home and inside that was it, she wouldn’t go outside for nothing, food, treats, she was determined she wasn’t going outside. She would hold it until nobody was around or asleep and would potty in our back bedroom. Ugh after two weeks of this I was so done. I took her back to the shelter and told them what was going on and that she needed some help with her anxiety but no they put her right back up for adoption. My heart was broke so I went back 3 days later and got her returned home and researched trainers and asked around the vets offices and the Greenville dog wizard team was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Called had our first consultation with Tara and she recommended the 2 week program. Tara let us think about it We called her a few days later. She came and picked Bailee up two weeks later Tara and Damien brought Bailee home, we discussed what went on and her progress then they both showed me their techniques and how to follow through where they left off. Told me I would have to continue training until we get her where she needs to be. But WOW I was so IMPRESSED with the difference. Bailee still has issues with buses, trucks with trailers but I know how to help her through her fear. She’s no where near the same TERRIFIED DOG that left for training. We now go on walks , stores , and out to eat. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND CONTINUE TRAINING. If you don’t then your dog might or will go back to the way they were before the training. Then your the only one who can be blamed not the Trainers.

We have two labs, 2 1/2 yrs old, that are changed dogs. Walking them was impossible because they pulled so much and jumped on everyone. This training was worth every penny! We actually enjoy bringing our dogs out with us. Thank you Greenville Dog Wizard!

I have a 1 yr old Husky, Houston. Full of energy! Taking him out was a NO. He pulled in the leash, didn't listen, barked at other dogs and people. At home he dug holes, chased the cats and thought an open gate or door meant FREEDOM!! I entrusted him to Tara and their two week obedience training.. WOW! I have had him back for about 3 weeks and he is an angel! I can take him out everywhere and he heels great and has manners in public! At home he kindly waits for me to let him outside and does not even try to bolt out the gate! Him and the cats get a long good now! (He does get excited and start to chase sometimes, but a quick "off" command and Houston stops). Overall I am VERY happy with Tara and the program! She did an amazing job! Highly highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Tara training my dog Reese. He was extremely energetic and had lots of behavioral issues. She came up with a special training program for him, which changed his life and ours for the better. Tara is hard working and dedicated to the dogs and the people that she serves! My family has had an overall great experience with her! Thank you so much for all you have done!

did a great job teaching us to help our pets. one was unfortunately unable to be helped, but that was not reflective of the training - convinced there was a medical condition.

They are as helpful after as they are during. Same responsiveness, same caring attitude for dog & owner. They are really professional.

This has been a wonderful experience!!!! My daughter Taylor Pendleton had used Tony to train her dog, and best friend Porter. My husband and I have 3 dogs, our newest family member J. B. Is a big goldendoodle. I am retiring after 35 years and want to take my dog on therapy visits!! Now I can, thanks to Tony????????

Tony trained our two Jack Russell Terriers (5 and 4 years old) who had gotten aggressive with each other one day after having grown up together since they were puppies and did everything together. Since training (almost two years ago) we have not had another episode of aggression. We are able to walk the dogs in public without them barking at people or animals and pulling on the leash. In fact we are able to run them in our yard and driveway without leashes (as people, dogs, cars and squirrels pass by) and have them obey commands. Our seven year old kids can even run them without problems. It has allowed us to again enjoy our time with the dogs and given us tremendous peace of mind. We would highly recommend Tony and just wish we had sent our dogs to him much sooner.

Tara did a great job and was always willing to go the extra mile. Ali is doing great.
