If you're looking for compassionate care, HealthQuest in the NE Heights of Albuquerque is not it, specifically Dr. Erich Velasquez. We set up a plan paying over $798.56 for the first month of service after paying a $244 fee for the first two appoints for my son. The first was a screening/consultation, you cannot get an adjustment until your second appointment. Anyone who refers another family member will get the first fee waived. So, I set up an appointment. I have Parkinson's Disease, which causes constant low back pain. So, this was a big deal to me. Unfortunately, I contracted Covid the week of my appointment. So, I called a couple of days before my appointment to cancel. I said I would call back to reschedule when I was better. I rescheduled a couple of weeks later and showed up. But, I was informed that Dr. Erich had said to charge me $227 and that the referral was no longer valid. They said you have to use it within 14 days. "We left you a voicemail." (They did so the day before. (I'm a single parent with Parkinson's running a business, but that's an excuse). I politely said no thank you and waited for my son to finish his appointment. When my son was finished I approached Dr. Erich and said that I had canceled my appointment due to Covid on top of Parkinson's and that this was the earliest I could make it. He replied, "yeah we do that" casually and went on about his business. So, I quietly left with my son. No mean stares or loudness. It's a policy . I get it. Funny how people treat you before you give them money opposed to how they treat you after you give them your money. Look, I run a successful business, and money matters. But, I have found that when money begins to trump your compassion and kindness, you always end up losing in the long run. Have no doubt. Dr. Erich Velasquez and HealthQuest Chiropractic in Albuquerque care more about your money than your well-being. If my son's treatment improves and is better than our previous chiropractor I'll be back here to post it. But as of now, the value of this place is terrible.
