We contracted with Horizon for a kitchen, laundry, and bath remodel. They did not give us the lowest price, so we thought we would be getting better quality work than we got. Very little was done with much attention to detail, and most of the project became a struggle to get them to finish the work to trade standards. After two years, we have a shower with faulty waterproofing causing rust, a soggy wall, and swelling shower curb. We also have very poorly installed baseboards, chipped glass in the shower, damage due to a (third) floor installation, lint blowing into our crawl space, a sloppy paint job, and problems with cupboard shelves and doors. They have lied to us, lied to their subcontractors, lied to the “flooring inspector” they brought in, and now they are lying to their bond company. They still refuse to pay us for the damages, and have accused us of causing the defects in workmanship. It has been a nightmare.
