About the Owner: Mile High Coatings was started in 2008 by local Colorado State University alum David Nanninga. He started in the industry in 2002 while studying Economics. During his time at CSU, he participated in a college business internship program that allowed him to learn how to manage a small painting business. David graduated in 2006 and was employed by a local manufacturing company doing project management. In 2008, as the recession loomed, David?s office was closed and at that time he decided to start his own painting company. With virtually no start-up funds, he started by printing some flyers and business cards and set out knocking on doors. He hasn?t looked back since and now Mile High Coatings employs several crews and is setting the bar high in the local painting industry.
