The Shelby Design Center has been serving consumers, architects, builders, and designers for over 2 decades. Located within the 20,000 square foot showroom of The Shelby Design Center are – Carpet One Floor & Home and Lighting One – both which are family owned and operated by Jim Plutter. Carpet One and Lighting One are both part of a cooperative of over 1,000 other independent, family businesses. The cooperative advantage gives us the buying power to purchase quality products at competitive pricing which we can then pass on to our customers. We worked with Greg on several visits to the store. He was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the perfect outdoor lighting for our home's entrance. I had no idea of the numerous types of bulbs, but Greg explained the difference and showed us the different hues. We were very satisfied with Greg's followup and assistance with looking for a chandelier as well. He kept us informed throughout the process and emailed us new ideas. I would rate Greg a solid 5+.

Greg always greated me with a smile, went the extra mile, and gave his expert opinion on every last detail. He knows his business and I would highly recommend his expertise. I purchased several new lights & lamps when I recently redecorated my home. Gregg Holmes in the lighting department is the absolute best & has a natural talent when it comes to redecorating! If I didn't find the particular item I wanted in the store he spent time going through catalogs to help me find the exact light I was looking for. I'd never considering going anywhere else for lighting fixtures in the future. Highly recommend!
