I’m LaShelle the owner of Style & Spirit Salon. I have been a hairstylist since 1991. Ever since I was a child I loved playing with doll babies and styling their hair. I even started styling my little sister’s hair when we were young. I can recall, she had so much hair and was very tender headed. My mom was heavy handed which made my sister cry profusely all of the time, when it was time to get her hair done. As my passion for styling hair continued, I began braiding hair around the age of 14 and building clientele. I realized that my passion for hair could be very self fulfilling, enjoyable and lucrative. That's when I decided that I wanted turn my passion, into my profession. By the time I was in the eleventh grade I was very mature and responsible. I would drive to cosmetology school half a day after high school. After graduating I soon became licensed and began my career in the cosmetology field. I've had much success in my career as a stylist and now salon owner. During my tenure, I have serviced over 600 clients and I've won a plethora of awards from hair shows, magazine entries and other platforms as well. With all of these accomplishments, I am even more committed to the industry today then then I first started.
