Purchased a new home in Frisco TX from Sumeer Homes and when they built the home the framers made a mistake and put a ceiling joint to cover the furnace door to where it would not open. Frank at their warranty Dept would not cover this since the home warranty had expired. It’s frustrating to know a builder made a mistake and would cover it. This should be one of the rare instances a company would still cover their building error or at least offer a discounted rate to have it repaired.
