Great business I ordered from them and then we got hit with the snowstorms. They kept me fully informed and communication was great. The fish were healthy and in great condition so happy with them will definitely purchase more in the future!!

Great handling of fish, love the idea of quarantine of fish before leaving their facilities. I'm in Minnesota and have lost fish with in days of receiving from Wisconsin. Have never had a problem with this company. One of the fish did not make it thru their quarantine, I was emailed this info and my account was credited by the next day. Great customer service

I was told the shipping would take over a month after paying $30.00 for it. Was told issue was the weather/snow. Ordered from live aquaria a day after from ordering from this company and my order is to arrive in 3 days and they're located in Wisconsin... Seems a bit further than new york.... I truly believe this company is trying to sale fish that have not even been reproduced yet. I would highly NOT recommend this company to anyone, they do not extend any kind of customer service and basically told me a bold face lie. If you truly want to be satisfied with your fish order I recommend "LIVEAQUARIA"

Hi Jay; We'd like to take the opportunity to clear a few things up here. When you placed your order on February 11th, everyone in the Northeast (we are located just outside JFK Airport) was contending with a major winter storm that had caused hundreds of businesses, carrier services and major airports to either close down or substantially delay business. Since you are located in Florida, we doubt that the real severity of these conditions are relatable. Regardless, the impact on us was no delivery from our supplier and halted or delayed pickup of shipments by our service carrier. We sent a communication to everyone that had placed an order to let them know of the delay and posted this on our website. Matters became worse when the Northeast was hit yet again with a severe snowstorm. Again we sent out a communication to everyone that had placed an order and updated our website. All along, for any customers that did not want to wait until we were back up and running, we were very happy to issue refunds. That has always been an open option for us when there is any reason that shipping is delayed. Our normal shipping time, as listed on our website, is approximately 7 business days. After fish are quarantined and packed, we use an overnight shipping service to minimize the amount of time the fish spend in transit. Our initial communications with you were quite friendly and when you asked for a refund, we issued it immediately and understood. But then, you became extremely creative in your accusations as to why we did not ship out your fish immediately. Both via email and in your reviews. Honestly Jay, trying to sell fish that are not even born yet? What Aquarium Fish operation could possibly even stay in business with that strategy? And if that were our "gimmick", wouldn't we have an overwhelming number of bad reviews on Google and TrustPilot not to mention registered complaints to the Better Business Bureau? We sell fish that we have in inventory and when we don't have inventory replenished due to an unforeseen event such as a winter storm we notify our customers of the delay and issue refunds if that is what the customer wishes. Yes...the timeframe for shipping we are working in right now is NOT NORMAL. But it is when the entire Northeast has been buried in snow. And just as a reminder, we are located in NY State...not outside the country. Something you pondered in one of your theories in your email. Something else for you to consider...LiveAquaria is owned by a large international corporation. We are a family-owned business that has been providing freshwater aquarium and pond fish for the past 20 years. Comparing shipping capacity between our business and LiveAquaria is a stretch but we invite anyone to compare our customer service and pricing. Or our reviews for that matter. We take great pride in our personalized service we give to each and every one of our customers. We really do take exception to you stating that we did not "offer any kind of customer service hospitality". We have read every email communication with you and our responses are completely friendly and accommodating. We wish that your experience with us was a better one. We also wish you luck with your new additions to your aquarium.

I was a little leary ordering fish online. I had been looking for discus for awhile and this is a great bargain! It did take a bit to get my fish but they were well worth the wait. Arrived safely to my doorstep alive and well. Valerie was wonderful and communicated with me constantly. My fish are amazing and I have even placed a second order in less than a week. Don't be leary and GO for it! You will be very happy that you did. Thanks

I order my first ever discus from here and I’m very satisfied! I ordered the 10 discus variety pack and the price is an absolute steal! Mine took about 8 days to get to my house and 7 of them were processing days and it only took one real day of shipping. The fish arrived alive, well, and surprisingly very colorful. The fish were packed excellent in a styrofoam box with a heating pad. I followed their step by step acclimating process and once they were in it took less than a day for them to start eating and being social!

I bought 33 fishes from them and got 3 free (cichlids). Item was shipped on time but FedEx delayed delivery and 1 fish arrived dead. I emailed them and was instantly refubiwith sincere apologies. The quality of the fish is amazing being that this is my first time in 18yrs of fish keeping buying stock online. Every fish is healthy and active. I highly recommend this store and would be buying from them again. Note: shipping is expensive starts at $40 so if you want to save money on shipping, wait till you ready to buy what justifies the cost. They don't make money from shipping as they ship overnight ( very expensive).

I clearly received the wrong discus. I sent pictures to explain that I had received the wrong one. And instead of admitting that they sent the wrong fish, they said that it was the right one. I was expecting a pigeon blood but the discus I received had no markings once so ever even months after growth. My local fish breeder said if he didn’t have the markings he was never gonna get them.

Hello Wyteeka, We hope you understand we were in no way trying to discredit or dismiss your concern over the color/markings of your pigeon blood discus. In our years of experience, the ~2 inch juvenile discus need time to show their full coloration. Typically, once they reach adult size (3-4 inches) their distinct markings and coloration will appear. Since you purchased a juvenile only 8 weeks ago, we really prefer to give them more time to grow before we draw the conclusion that it is the incorrect discus. The photo you submitted as a Pigeon Blood example was a full grown, adult Discus and not a juvenile. We do believe that yours will develop the same coloration and markings with proper feeding and tank parameters. We really would have appreciated the opportunity to be given that time instead of a conclusion that we were trying to dismiss your concern. We always try to work with our customers to have a positive outcome. That being said, we have provided you with a refund for the Pigeon Blood. We hope the other discus you received are doing well and thriving in their new aquarium home!
