I was Extremely extremely disappointed in this establishment. This place is a complete rip off! Their attention to detail is not at a very high level in terms of treatment, and they do not listen to their customers at all. I absolutely would not go here and spend my money again, a ridiculous amount of money by the way, in fact I am seriously thinking about canceling our appointment for our older male doxie later this month. We have seven dogs and had been looking for a great vet, especially after our dog Griffin had seizures and almost died after being overdosed in anesthesia with his last dental appointment. We scheduled three appointments for my 3 miniaturedachshund females to have shots for rabies only. Again this was for rabies shot only. As well as pre-op blood work for Griffin. Upon arriving I kept received several phone calls asking about their shot records which to my understanding had already been sent over. All of our dogs are up to date on their shots. Instead of listening to thislnd said they went ahead and gave them their booster shots when they were not needed. And then on top of that, they actually attempted to schedule additional booster shots 3 weeks later even after explaining that they were all up to date on their shots! My husband spoke with them several timeswith different lady set apparently did not talk to each other, as well and said he had straightened it All out, but still for some reason I kept getting many phone calls while I was waiting for my babies in the car. Not very professional or communicative, could definitely work on communication skills being clear and concise with their customers and Especially attention to detail! This issue should have been straightened out BEFORE their appointments as I had understood it to beand not hashed out in the middle of it. And secondly, I mentioned that one of our females Trinity was potentially pregnant. At no time did I order an X-ray though, and instead we were charged $165 for an x-ray. I walked out of there spending almost $800 for what should have been as simple visit for two rabies shot, one of our females is pregnant so she could not get that rabies shot of course. For other pet parents that have many dogs, it is much more economical, NORMAL & Reasonable pricing, just order the meds yourself and then have a trained professional or vet or vet assistant or vet tech to administer them safely, or just go to Emancipet. Trust me you will save TONS of money that way especially when you do it yourself you know you're not giving your animal a shot that they absolutely do not need! The other thing they had missed is that we very specifically asked for Dr Ramirez only because he was recommended To us by one of our pet parents the Tonns, and we were told that the care there was exceptional. Sorely disappointed because that was not our experience with VCA at all. I received a phone call from the vet that was not Dr Ramirez but was instead from a female vet after specifically requesting for him Several times. I would think twice before scheduling with VCA Hometown and make sure you read all the prices and confirm with them what the appointment is for multiple,. Multiple times because they do not listen to their customers nor do they seem to care, it's ONLY about the money here. They do not care about your or your animals!
