Verity Homes

After much thought, consideration and working within our budget my husband and I placed an order for a Champion Home, signing a contract the end of Feb. 2021 with Kreativ/Verity Homes, Bismarck, ND. While a contract should be binding, a few months later we were told that due to COVID, rising costs of materials and also material shortages (which happens) the price of the modular home we had ordered would be increasing $30,000…..but what about the signed contract?! We were seriously thinking of canceling the purchase of the home, but the foundation was ready for our specific floor plan so decided to move forward with our plans. With untimely delays with crews and Kreativ/Verity Homes lack of communication with us….we were finally able to move into our new home mid January 2022. Poor after sale service included continued delays regarding problems with the carpeting, outside caulking and painting, gutters, kitchen stove , cracks in walls. Lack of educating us with warranties also proved to be a problem. The staff and crews with Kreative and especially Verity Homes lacked integrity and follow through. Purchasing a home should be an exciting and rewarding experience and yes, not always without problems, but we felt our issues were not taken seriously. Very little on site supervision with work crews and upon inspection found that certain issues needed to be corrected. Another delay in getting problems taken care of. We live in a rural area of ND (Watford City) and it was almost 200 miles one way for the crews and individuals sent by Verity Homes to come and complete the work that was needed to be done…..that seemed to be a problem in itself but we were led to believe it would not be an issue when we ordered the home. If someone mentions Kreative /Verity Homes to us our response will be……RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
