The trainers at The Greenville Dog Wizard are knowledgeable of all proven training methods. After a free evaluation, the trainer will educate you on the pros and cons of each method and make a professional recommendation regarding which style will produce the results you desire. The most important part is NOT that your dog learns the ?Come? command, but that he will do it no matter what else is going on. In other words, what good is the ?Come? command if your dog will only perform it in a sterile environment? The same is true for all commands. For example, anyone can teach their dog to ?Sit? on the kitchen floor, but can you get your dog to ?Sit? at the park as other people, dogs, and kids walk by? Your dog should listen to you whether you are in your kitchen, at the local park, or in the middle of a three ring circus. In addition, the owner plays a major role in the success of any dog obedience program. Of course we can teach your dog to perform for us, but our specialty lies in the ability to transfer these skills to you and every member of your family regardless of age, size, or strength (as long as he or she can speak clearly or give hand signals).

I was not able to enjoy my dog outside of my home due to her behavior but the trainers at Greenville Dog Wizard turned that around and she goes everywhere with me now.

I cannot thank Tara enough for the work that she did with my German Shepherd who suffers from fear aggression. She provided me with the knowledge and tools needed to better his life and mine. I would recommend Greenville Dog Wizard to anyone!

Lilly is a sweet little - hard headed- Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. She barked and barked, she was aggressive to all other dogs, she NEVER came when she was called. Tara changed all that! Lilly still barks but stops when we tell her off. She barks at other dogs but doesn't lunge at them to attack, and she will heal when asked. And the most important one for me is she comes when she is called!! EVERY TIME! And if she doesn't mind as she's been trained, she gets to wear the collar for a little while as a reminder. We almost never have to buzz it, but she knows we will if it is needed. Tara called a few times to update me on Lilly's progress and I was able to see her on Facebook during her training. Tara also helped me, the owner, to be sure I was using the right language and being direct with Lilly so I didn't confuse her. The price wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. And because I spent that much on training, I was sure to keep up with it. Lilly isn't perfect and frankly she never will be. But she is so much happier and so are we. Thank you Tara and the Greenville Dog Wizard!!

We contracted with the Dog Wizard to help socialize our latest rescue, a physically abused golden retriever mix, Emilia. Our dog was deathly afraid of all humans and hid most of each day despite several months of care in our home along with our 2 older dogs. Other trainers we consulted recommended we heavily medicate our new dog or consider returning her to the rescue group as a 'hopeless' case. Tony contracted with us for 2 weeks of intense training at his home. He worked on basic commands and socialization by taking Emilia to different locations to meet people. At no extra cost, Tony kept our dog an additional week as he felt she needed more work to break down her paralyzingly fears. Tony was willing to keep her for a fourth week (again at no additional cost) to continue reenforcing the training but we decided we wanted her back home. We were amazed at the change in Emilia. Basic commands like "come" will never be a strong point, but she now is social with us and other people. She has learned how to play with our other dogs. Tony helped save a beautiful girl by teaching her that some humans are worth trusting.

Tara and Damien have been fantastic. I was hesitant to let Clancy go away for 2 weeks for the residential program but they made me feel comfortable about the situation. They are both very professional and yet personal and supportive. Tara is great at responding to requests and concerns. The Saturday morning sessions provide an opportunity to practice and get further advice and support. I have been so pleased and recommend Greenville Dog Wizard to other pet owners who are struggling with behavioral issues. The training has improved my relationship with Clancy and will certainly provide a better life together for us as we will be able to do more together without the worry and restriction caused by troublesome behaviors.

Tony and Tara took my dog Sadie who was fear aggressive and turned her into an amazing family pet. She has done so well with her training that we no longer need the collar we can do all her commands by voice. She follows them without hesitation! If you ever need any kind of help with your dog I highly recommend giving them a call.
