I had been going to Bonnie's dog and cat grooming for a year and will never return. I took my dog in to get groomed for the winter. My dog is a Yorkshire terrier and has medium thick fur. I took my dog in and they told me I would have to get my dog shaved all the way down because I was not within a 6 week window of getting him groomed and he was matted. One employee proceeded to tell me that my dog had matted knots on his back legs. I asked the employee to show me where the matted knots where located. The employee proceeded to show me one matted spot, that was the size of a quarter, that I could pull apart with my fingers but nothing else. They also stated he was matted under his collar, which was not true. Bonnie came over to the front desk and started to become very rude by stating she told me about a 6 week window to get him groomed or he will be shaved down. She stated that I could not get the "fluffy treatment". She never had a conversation with me in regards to that guideline. I told her my dog is not matted expect for that one spot that I pulled apart with my fingers and I even proceeded to asked if that one spot can be cut out since his hair is so thick, it will not be noticeable. Before I could finish my sentence, she cuts me off and says "take him somewhere else" in a very nasty tone. I immediately grabbed my dog off the counter and took him to PetSmart directly after leaving Bonnie's. I went to PetSmart and explained the situation. PetSmart stated he was not matted any where else but the one spot, that was the size of a quarter, that was able to be brushed out with no problem. PetSmart stated cutting off all of his hair is not necessary. It's really upsetting to know that they refused to even try to accommodate my dog. They refused to hear what I was saying about my own dog. Their only option was to cut all of his fur off, during the winter time, due to one small knot and not being in a 6 week window guideline. My dog is only 12.5 lbs with fur. Not to mention, my dog would shake in fear every time I took him to get groomed and hated leaving my arms. Now I understand why. Not recommended. I only wanted the corner on his eyes, his feet, the sanitation area trimmed, and his nails cut
