I have a Dark Blue 2005 C6 Corvette, with Black Z-R1rims, with 8,000 miles on it I bought it 3 weeks ago from a man in SC who has kept it in his garage and kept it in mint condition. I discovered that I had hard water at the house that left water spots on the car. To protect the car I paid sav ceramic coatings in Rincon $1900 to wash/detail, do a paint correction and ceramic coat the car, rims and windows. Being upfront and honest the car body itself looks great. Unfortunately my ZR1 rims are ruined $3700 Rims(visually ruined anyways) Every rim has several deep bright white scratches on it. It had to have happened when they were prepping the rims for the coating or on my 30minute drive home not sure which. If it happened during my uneventfull drive home that means the protective coating was so weak it developed swirls, smears and highly visible deep bright white scratches on every rim after only 30mins of drive time. The only other issue is they ceramic coated over a white waxy paste that was left in several of the gaps in the body where the car door, rear fenders and front panels but up to each other. It looks like wax or polishing compound that has now been permanently ceramic coated onto my car. It stands out. I will admit that the coating itself on my car looks great from far away....but unfortunately the other defects and the scratched up and swirled rims REALLY stand out and I am constantly reminded of these defects by friends, neighbors and coworkers who immediately point them out to me and show them to me. Its like groundhog day everytime another person tells me OMG what happened to your rims? Todd the owner is a likeable guy and I was excited after I saw some of the other finished cars at his shop. Mine did not turn out well. I don't recommend you roll the dice on your dream car or truck. I did and I lost big time.
