Let me start out by saying I hate writing bad reviews. I much rather like leaving positive reviews of which I leave many. In this case I have no choice. My sadly negative experience with Solutions Pest & Lawn: DIY Pest Control (www.solutionsstores.com) needs to be shared. Shortly before 1PM on 12/16 I placed and order for Spectre PS Aerosol (quantity 2) and Bayer Premise Foam (quantity 2). My AMEX was immediately charged for $84.08. On 12/17 I received an email letting me know the “order has been processed and the tracking # is: 61299992447927715334. It could take up to 48 hours to become active in the carrier's system. “ …They include the following in the shipping email “We are a small family owned company and your business means a lot to us. If you could take a moment to leave us a review on Google! That is the only way people find out about us as we do not do any marketing.” …Well, wish granted. I assumed the item was shipped and I would be receiving it soon. Like most people close to the holidays I got caught up in other things and didn’t realize until catching up in my emails on Monday 1/3 (yesterday as I’m writing this) that I hadn’t received the pesticides. I checked the tracking number and low and behold the item never shipped. I found no other emails either. So being a little perturbed I sent an email asking why the item hasn’t shipped and asked if I would need to address this with AMEX and leave a bad review. 3 hours later I get a response from Kathie Redou (kredou@solutionsstores.com) stating the following “The premise foam is on backorder and that is why your order has not shipped yet. We can cancel your order or keep you in the queue for when the item arrives. Please let us know what you would like to do.” She also included a screenshot from their website of the premise item with a HUGE, impossible to miss, RED box stating the item was backordered as if I would have ordered a backordered item and inferring by this was my fault... I was flabbergasted at this response. As I previously stated, I ordered the items that were in stock, they billed me the entire amount and they sent me a shipping notice with a tracking number. She was clearly insulting my intelligence. We exchanged a few more emails that remained civil, I suggested they try and rectify but instead Jorge Parrales (jparrales@solutionsstores.com) jumped on the thread and claimed to be canceling my order which, as of this writing at Noon on 1/4 they have not done. I had to dispute with AMEX and AMEX immediately credited back the funds to my account. Now I was fully prepared to hear at least an apology for their issues if not some sort of method to address the issue like overnighting the items that were in stock, attempting to obtain stock from other sources, a discount on future purchases, anything to avoid this negativity. I got nothing. They never owned their mistake, they never contacted me about any inventory issues, they could have easily sent the items that were in stock, nope. I told them I would be leaving a very negative review. At 10AM this morning, a full 16 hours later I received an email in reply from Kathie Redou with just “Have a great day.” I love supporting small businesses. I hate using Amazon, but this kind of experience is very discouraging and makes a person gun shy about buying from small businesses online. I can’t recommend Solutions Pest & Lawn: DIY Pest Control and I would encourage anyone to pick one the many other DIY websites or one of your local DIY stores instead.
