Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Cardiology

I have been a patient of Dartmouth for many years and had an excellent cardiologist. When he retired I was assigned to a newcomer who had absolutely no experience with my condition. It was like being demoted from care by an expert to that of a medical student. I have a cardiac device that was causing severe chest pain for years. I was completely ignored. When I finally went somewhere else it was discovered that my device lead was scratching my epicardium. However the surgery to remove the lead was now extremely high risk because dartmouth had ignored it for years. I would not recommend D-H cardiology. Some of the providers that have taken over for experienced doctors who have retired are not competent and do not have the judgement to consult with someone who is when they are unable to treat a case.
