I ordered and prepaid for a custom holster April 2021. After 18 months of excuses I asked for a refund, 6 weeks later he won't answer calls or return messages. I know others who have had similar experiences with him.

Shane has built 2 custom knife sheaths that I like. But on the third, he has not finished (started?) the work in 7 weeks. I have emailed, texted, and called. No response. I am worried about getting my knife back.

I am now going on 4 weeks since Shane said he had my holster finished. Still no holster and my laser sight has not yet been returned. And I have still not received a return call or message. I put Value at 1 star, because it is really not a value if you don't get what you already paid for.

I am very frustrated. I ordered a custom holster from Shane 4 months ago from a gun show. At the time I also let him borrow my laser sight for a good fit. Shane let me know 3 weeks ago that he finished the holster and he planned to send it out to me that week. I have not received the holster and my laser sight to date. What is frustrating is that I have sent Shane multiple texts requesting status with no reply and called his cell phone with no answer for the past week. I get things happen and stuff gets delayed. All I was asking for was a status update ("yes, I shipped it on this date" or "no, I haven't shipped yet, however, I will on x date"). Shane is a nice guy and from the work of his I have seen, he does really quality work. That is what makes the no response even more frustrating.

Shane made me the most beautiful hand-tooled natural leather holster to let me bring a revolver along on a hike without getting a concealed carry permit. He custom fitted the holster to my gun and made the belt and leg strap as well. The holster is a work of art that I keep where I can admire it in between hikes. Now I'm thinking about gifts and other items I could ask him to make for me, he's such a talented craftsman and artist. Thank you, Shane!
