Very disappointed with the grooming service received. Maria did not know the breed she was grooming, as a result the cut was very ugly and uneven. I received a number of unflattering remarks about the work from multiple people who know what to look for as well as identifying all breeds , including designer breeds. Work was done on 10/28/20, by not only Maria , but she had help. So there was no reason why this had to occur. I much preferred her to admit, she wasn’t familiar with how to groom a shorkie, instead preceding with the shoddy job that was done. My pets hair will grow back , but each person I encounter, the question is who did that awful grooming work. First of all, It was her first cut, secondly it wasn’t cheap ($ 65.00) . My assessment of Five Star Grooming in Prospect Heights, is that she is more concerned with the the financial aspect of the business than preforming at high level regarding the customer base. I don’t recommend this establishment what so ever. We are lucky our pet was not injured, but she was traumatized from the experience and now we know why after visual results and comments from others. Very disappointed and embarrassed!!!!!!!
