Freeway insurance is a ripoff they raised my insurance price from $130 to $183 for no reason I had no accidents and I have a good driving record! So I called them to cancel and the agent tried to trick me by claiming that he was going to send me an email and I needed to sign documents once he sent it, in order for me to cancel my policy, the email never came and I wanted to cancel before the next billing cycle which was in a couple of days, plus it was New Year’s Eve. I asked them to resend the email so I cancel and he gave me an excuse about how he would have to cancel the process and start over, well the email still never came once he claimed that he resent it! What he was really doing was trying to stall me hoping that I wouldn’t make it to a store before 5 or before the New Year that would have meant that they would have got another payment which was what the whole lie and the attempt to stall me was all about, thank God I didn’t work that day! I went to the store to cancel, they must have though that they were dealing with a fool, but I can tell when someone is trying to BS me! So I signed papers to cancel at one of their locations and they told me that they canceled my policy and gave me a copy of the paper work and told me that I wouldn’t be billed once I signed the form! Thank God again because they sent me an email saying that I owe them $107 or they will send it to collections and that would mean a negative impact on my credit! 1st the raised my monthly fee for no reason 2nd they tried to play me like a fool and get over, now they still say that I owe them and I canceled before the next pay cycle! They are some lame crooks, but they’ve got the right one! I’m not worried about those half way crooks cause there’s no such thing! Anyone that is looking for a major insurance company or any insurance company, do yourself a favor and call them directly you don’t need a middle man that’s all that they are! I disliked even giving them 1 star!
