My family had what I would call a horrible experience with Howell Edwards Doerksen in Salem. Several specific requests were made multiple times during our planning of my sister's funeral, and only one was partially fulfilled. At such a difficult and trying time, they were a complete disappointment. When you specifically ask to be notified when your little sister is going to be cremated so you can say a prayer, and then not be notified--well, I can't get that back. When you specifically ask that they NOT call your mother about anything (to call you instead) so she doesn't have to have such a burden, then they call her 3 times----again, very disappointing. They should be making difficult times easier, not more difficult.
