When Dr. Jay Fine opened his plastic surgery practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, he had a guiding philosophy: providing state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery combined with old-fashioned patient care. Dr. Fine’s patients know that when they call, they can always speak directly with him.
Dr. Fine’s college education began at Long Island University, Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and became a member of Rho Chi, the academic honor society for pharmaceutical students. Dr. Fine received his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He went on to complete his residencies in general and plastic surgery at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Fine is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition to maintaining active membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the Florida Medical Association, Dr. Fine has been a member of the Broward County Medical Association and the Broward County Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also served as past president of the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Fine served in the U.S. Navy, where he was on active duty from 1971-1973 and rose to the rank of lieutenant commander. Since 1976, Dr. Fine has operated a private practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery in the South Florida area.
His current practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, offers the full range of cosmetic surgeries such as face-lifts, breast augmentation, breast lifts and reductions, eyelid procedures, tummy tucks, and liposuction. Dr. Fine also offers comprehensive treatment for skin cancer, including reconstructive procedures. When not seeing patients in his private practice, he serves as the chief of staff at Memorial Hospital Miramar.
