January of 2022 we had Lex Air install a new AC and furnace. Instead of replacing just a piece of the furnace, we went with their recommendation of getting a new AC/furnace. Summer 2022 we started experiencing a problem where the AC unit outside would make an incredibly loud sound and blow hot air. We had several people come out and could not find a problem despite recording the sound. We learned if we turned the AC off for an hour or so in the evening it would start working again. This kept happening where the AC would blow hot air, someone from Lex air would come out and say there wasn’t a problem because the AC would be working again by the time they came out. Towards the end of the summer 2022 we had someone come out again for the problem, and again he couldn’t find anything that was wrong. This tech recommended the next time it happened to take a picture of the error codes in the attic. It was starting to get cooler in Dallas and we wouldn’t experience the problem again until summer 2023. Alas, 2023 came around and the same problem occurred. The AC would start blowing hot air. This time we took pictures of the codes in the attic. When the new tech got out he said those codes meant nothing. Now it is November 2023 and our AC is permanently out. It isn't turning back on no matter how long we leave it off. This is a brand new unit that has never worked properly since installation. We've been given no solution. We've been told our warranty will be void if we ask someone else to come out again because of how frequently we called them out. We have had our windows replaced, attic insulated with all the upgrades, etc. There is no reason why our AC should be going out. We've been without AC at times during my 2022 pregnancy and all summer with an infant in 2023. It has truly been a nightmare. I wish we had never replaced our AC with Lex Air. I'm so sad that we spent thousands of dollars on an AC unit with a company that cannot diagnose the issue and will not honor their warranty.
