At Madan Periodontics and Implant Dentistry PLLC, formerly known as Periodontology Associates PLLC in Norfolk, Virginia, both Drs. Madan and Witte offer a variety of procedures in the treatment of periodontal disease. We all take great pleasure in helping our patients achieve lifelong dental health. Now the practice has relocated to TownCenter of Virginia Beach, VA. Dr. Madan and Dr. Witte have over 40 years of combined experience treating periodontal (gum) disease. Our office understands that most people are apprehensive about new and unknown situations and at each step we make a concerted effort to explain everything to your satisfaction while making each visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

PROS: Everything was explained thoroughly The offices were pristine CONS: *Forced upfront charge - they didn’t tell me this when I made the appointment nor before I came in / said it was a co-pay / said they don’t do billing / said that 3rd dental appointment within year wasn’t covered when obviously this appointment should have been under a different code so insurance would cover…waste of money. *Afterwards, when explaining the cost of the surgery, again they don’t do billing. You have to pay (co-pay) upfront. No flexibility. The doctor I saw impressed me as “Cut crazy” (likes to perform surgery before appraising the situation from all angles), not a “wait and see” doctor - this alarmed me, specifically since no x-rays were taken, nor did she have my dental records yet. The doctor doesn’t use gas/nitrous oxide-riot to surgery. She did offer to prescribe triazolam(.25) - Halcyon: take one pill the night before the surgery and the other pill right before the surgery. Halcyon is used for treating insomnia. It is not an anesthetic. Halcyon also can’t be taken with many of the daily drugs I must take. This really alarmed me. I didn’t get a secure/caring feeling from the group. Got more of a business feeling, *like they’re more in it for the money they make for costly surgeries vs caring about helping someone. Everything was rote. That’s the best I can explain it.
