Magic Micro Computers

Obviously my computer was not tested before it went out. First of all the system was not tested, and this was one of the main reasons I went through Magic Micro because I wanted them to test everything to make sure the computer worked properly before they sent it to me. How do I know the system was not tested? 1.) The Windows Operating System was not activated when I got the computer... there was no way to log in or to even activate it. What I had to do was google the problem, and I got instructions of how to go into the kernal to change some binary values to get the operating system activated. I could then enter my Windows activation key. 2.) Only one of my multiple case fans was working, the other 5 along with the temperature monitor for the case was disconnected. Thankfully I called Magic Micro and they walked me through how to open the case and connect these fans to power. If the computer had been tested they would have caught that before it was sent out. 3.) Every time I put the computer to sleep and wake it up the D drive, my hard drive is removed by Intel Rapid Storage Technology software. I contacted Magic Micro and they recommended disabling Rapid Storage technology, but I don't want to do that as I want the software to make my computer faster. This issue has gone unresolved. I would have to say however, that ordering the computer and having it built was a great experience, as Magic Micro was willing to make many changes after my initial order for the final system. Other companies might not be willing to change the order once they began building the system. This is a great feature of your company. I would however expect this kind of service for a $3000+ computer. Overall I am satisfied with your service, though a little disappointed with the testing of my system, but would and do recommend Magic Micro to friends and family.

I know you can't understand all possible user and what they will need. However, I will let you know, if anyone wants to use a computer with a GPU from you for Machine Learning, make sure they know they need to water cool the GPU and CPU as Machine Learning can run the CPU and GPU near 100% utilization for a long time. This causes both the GPU and the CPU to heat up to the various thresholds that can cause them to throttle back to the performance and eventually shut down video ports and shorten the life of the GPU and CPU. This happened to me. I know have a fully water cooled CPU and GPU and am happy now with the computer as setup.

Overall things went pretty well. The way the ordering process went, I wish I had been notified while I was ordering that I missed some key components, which of course drove up the cost. The addons seems to be warranted, but would rather have had been notified sooner during the ordering process instead of after the order was placed.

Easy to order, great price, arrived on time, and was exactly the product stated. The PC works great and no issues since the purchase. I will purchase more PC’s as the need arises.

I ordered a high end gaming computer from Magic Micro several months ago and was amazed at the quality and performance of the system. I did have a problem with the Nvidia video card after a few weeks and contacted MM's tech support. They confirmed that the card was defective and once I returned the bad card, they immediately sent me a new one. No charge, no question. It's great to know that this company will take care of any issues you might have. That's important. Great company that's highly recommended.
