I am unsure how this place is still in business. Our appointment was for 1 PM on a Saturday. I understand that Saturday's are busy, however we waited for an hour. The waiting room was packed with nowhere to sit. We got there at 12:45, appointment was for 1, and didn't get taken back until 1:45 PM. There was no communication on anybody's part to update us.
We finally got taken back and the tech and dentist had no idea why we were there. The tech started to prep tools for a dental cleaning, which we were not there for. I had to tell the tech and the dentist that we were there for a consultation for wisdom teeth removal.There were no notes put into our file that we needed to speak to an oral surgeon, who apparently wasn't even there. The person I had spoken with the day before had said we could get it taken care of, which I assumed meant the oral surgeon would be there,
They said that we needed x-rays, some of which we had already taken elsewhere and I gave them copies of them, but they needed more. When the tech went to put the protective vest on my boyfriend (for the x-ray) she knocked into the side of his mouth that was in pain. They were than frustrated because he couldn't open his mouth wide enough for the x-rays, even though we already told them he couldn't because of the pain he was in from his wisdom teeth.
They identified "problems" that my boyfriend had such as a root canal with a crown needed (which was already taken care of a year prior) and two cavities (which would have been identified at our last dental visit by our regular dentist two months prior). They clearly didn't know what they were talking about.
We were then told that again, they couldn't do anything because the oral surgeon is the one who we needed to speak to and because he wasn't there, they couldn't do anything for us that day. He wouldn't be in until Wednesday. They tried to get us to make an appointment to speak to the oral surgeon for that following Wednesday. After this whole awful experience, we told them we would not be coming back. We were so uncomfortable and outraged at this entire experience.
Most dental places you go to have you pay after services are completed, however we had to pay up front. The only good thing about this place was that we got a CT scan for $50, where it would have been $200 anywhere else. We won't be back- please don't go here.
