Michigan Fence Solutions

We hired Kevin from Michigan Fence Solutions to install a privacy fence. It came with a 4 year warranty on installation. Before he left the job site we pointed out that the fence was 6+ inches higher on one side of the driveway then on the other side of the driveway. He promised to fix it. That was 5 months ago. Once he got his money he ignored emails, texts and phone calls. Just ghosted us. The contract required him to get a permit from the city to install the fence. Kevin said he would not even dig one shovel of dirt without the permit. We paid him for the permit. He never pulled a permit and pocketed the money himself. Part of the installation was along the border of a neighbor on the back lot line. They agreed to have their old fence pulled out and allow our fence to go up on the lot line. They had an older dog and were worried about him getting out while the fence was down. Kevin agreed to work on that one section and get it pulled out and the new fence in that area installed on the same day or two. He pulled out the fence and left it open for a week without touching the area. When we pointed out he was endangering the neighbors dog, his response was "So what, that dog is on his last legs anyway." He also failed to glue or attach the post caps correctly resulting in post caps flying all over whenever the wind blows. Once he has your money you have no way to get him to correct his mistakes. Too bad, because if he had just done the right thing, this would be a much better review.
