Mike?s Functional Fitness is a compilation of personal and online training methods designed to guide you through your fitness journey. My career began as Physical Therapist Assistant where I worked everywhere from nursing homes to outpatient sports clinics. Having treated patients with various illnesses and injuries, I realized the majority of my patients required therapy because they didn?t realize the choices they were making at the time were going be detrimental to their health. For example: poor lifting techniques, faulty posture and overall poor body mechanics are only some of the many common mistakes people make which can lead to chronic pain, increased medical expenses and decreased quality of life. It is important to understand aches and pains aren?t necessarily contributed to old age and can be managed (and for some avoided) through proper exercise, guidance and lifestyle.
