I have a JD 4710 tractor I took to Papé Machinery in Roseburg OR on 6/21/22. Problem was it wouldn’t start and was told it would be 2 weeks before they could look at it, which I understand at this time of year. After the 2 weeks, I wasn’t getting any answers to the problem. At first they thought it was a module, then solenoid, then wiring, but nobody could diagnose it. Finally after 6 weeks they found it was the selenoid. I payed the $1215.00 to get to get it out of the shop and started cutting my hay. After about 2hrs I noticed the oil light was on. I opened the hood and saw oil all over the engine coming from the part they just installed. The 2 bolts were never tightened and it took 3 1/2 qts out of 5 to get it to normal operating range. I called Papé and they apologized and gave me 4 qts of oil, but doesn’t fix what damage that’s been done to the engine. You pay for professional work, and you expect a quality job. NOT SO HERE!!
