When an employer abuses or discriminates against a worker in some way, it is almost by definition an unfair fight. The employer has resources, both financial and legal. The employer controls the employee’s paycheck. And the employer decides what path the employee’s career will take. For these reasons, so many workers are afraid to exercise their legal rights, even when they are being treated unfairly.
