The Shelby Design Center has been serving consumers, architects, builders, and designers for over 2 decades. Located within the 20,000 square foot showroom of The Shelby Design Center are – Carpet One Floor & Home and Lighting One – both which are family owned and operated by Jim Plutter. Carpet One and Lighting One are both part of a cooperative of over 1,000 other independent, family businesses. The cooperative advantage gives us the buying power to purchase quality products at competitive pricing which we can then pass on to our customers. We went to look at carpet for our condo. We were greeted respectfully by a saleswoman who's name is CHRISTI MEYER. (Christi is NOT a pressure salesperson)She took us to the area of the brand of carpet we were looking for. She knew the product well and answer all of our questions we had. We ended up buying from Shelby Dssgin. Christi kept us informed of every step of the process from ordering to end of install. Christi called us Days after to make sure we were still happy with everything. The two men from J&R who did the installed were also top notch. Would not hesitate to go back to Shelby Disgin agin.

Bought numerous lighting fixtures for our home, very knowledgeable and friendly. Computer operating system is very slow, took almost as long to pick out a light fixture as it did to complete the transaction.

The overall buying experience was excellent. All considered the delivery time was good. Only problem was one of the three lights was found to be defective upon installation. Will be visiting the store tomorrow to resolve the problem. I'm confident there will be no problem getting things resolved.

From the first time we walked into the store to the day we had our carpet installed, it was a fabulous experience! Our salesman Mark was so knowledgeable and helpful. His expertise made shopping for carpet easy. He also got our carpet ordered and scheduled for installation in a very short time because of our situation. He was a great person to work with and we appreciate everything he did for us. The installers did an excellent job. We have a tricky area to carpet around our stone fireplace hearth and they did a really good job. They were also very careful and respectful of our hone and very polite to us. And the carpet.........WE LOVE IT! It looks beautiful and ii goes well with our furniture and walls. The touch and feel and thickness is so nice. We are sure we are going to enjoy our Karastan carpet for many years to come!

I love shopping at Shelby Home Design. They have high quality and unique home accents. I bought my third light fixture from them and I love it. Greg helped me and, as usual, he was so friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Mark helped me in the wallpaper area but my selection was discontinued, but Mark was so friendly and upbeat. I can't wait for my next shopping trip to Shelby Home Design! 5 Starts all the way!!

We recently purchased both luxury vinyl plank flooring and carpet for our home. Mark O'Leary came to our home and listened to what we had in mind. When we arrived at the showroom Mark had already identified a short list of flooring options for us that met our needs and our budget. He made the decision-making process so easy! Adam and Anthony installed the hard flooring. They were timely, clean, and clearly very experienced. John and Joe installed the carpet. This team was also focussed and skilled. Both teams finished up ahead a schedule. Since the installation happened during the Covid-19 crisis, everybody wore masks. We recognize how uncomfortable this must have been for the installers and we are so grateful that they honored the commitment to do so. We highly recommend Carpet One.

Very easy and seamless process to purchase carpet from Tim Kopietz. We are very happy with our selection and price. We have had several good experiences at Shelby Design Center when we remodeled last year. Highly recommend for carpet, lighting, or any type of bathroom or kitchen remodel.
