Unfortunately, bad fit for our family as a result of an incident today. We are new patients. They came highly recommended in facebook groups and we were just transferring from North Arvada to Lakewood - we live near Littleton. Anyway, we made the trek to see Dr. Lawrence earlier in the week and had a great experience with hygenist and him. He seemed understanding and my daughter had a great experience. My older daughter was scheduled for a weekend appointment and their new doctor, Dr. Laya Bahrani, fresh out of dental school it would seem by her lack of any experience in dealing with parents, wouldn't even talk to me and refused to do a simple cleaning on my 15 year old just becaause I said no X-rays this trip. I have recently had thyroid diagnosis and I feel radiation to the neck for my daughters every 6 months is not the right step. I am their advocate. The rudeness, disrespect, and complete lack of care displayed by the staff and Dr. Bahrani is unacceptable. I have considered bringing my complaint to the Colorado Licensing Board as a result of what happened today. I have never in my 50 years living or 21 in Colorado and 15 of going to pediatric dentists experienced what we experienced today. It was the most shocking display of unprofessionalism and unethical behavior (padding pockets) I have experienced. A cleaning has nothing to do with Xrays. A simple exam can reveal whether further Xrays are needed or not. I am so grossly disappointed in the behavior of this new dentist. I will never recommend this practice to anyone despite our one and only amazing meeting with Dr. Lawrence. If he goes private practice, we will recommend him, but Shining stars-- NO WAY!
