Sonia Hanchett was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In Houston, she operated at the River Oaks High Rise Condominiums every summer during high school. At this time, she began to notice her passion for people and the meaning behind quality customer service in real estate. In her quest for a higher education, she attended Prairie View A&M University. Sonia continued to work during the summers at the River Oaks Highrise while in college. She also held many leadership positions at her university and worked as a Community Assistant for the largest developer of high-quality student housing communities, American Campus. There, she continued focusing on customer service to help engage residents in their community, find the best apartments that fit their interests and managed day-to-day activities.
After receiving her Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, she voyaged to Philadelphia where she became a consultant for one of Forbes biggest companies for design in construction engineering, the Jacobs Engineering Group. After a few years in Pennsylvania, she began to miss home and felt a longing to set roots back in Texas.
Sonia returned back to Texas and received her professional license in real estate. She now resides in Austin, Texas, were her tech expertise has allowed her to commingle and give her clients the best service and information. She enjoys Austin with its wonderful culture, exciting social events and unique/diverse cuisine.
Real estate has always been a part of Sonia’s life and her focus is to deliver quality customer service using her technical experiences as a foundation to succeed.
