If you're not standing in the lobby of this place while you are reading this, TURN AROUND AND RUN AWAY! I've been wearing glasses for about fifty (50) years. I've been wearing progressive bifocals for over 30 years, never had these types of issues when purchasing new glasses many times over the years. After an incorrect eye exam at Specs in Madison, I was sold frames and lenses that did not help correct my vision. Complained about not seeing clearly through the glasses when I picked them up. Was told by the staff opticians that due to my prescription change I needed to give it a couple of weeks for my eyes to become accustom to the new glasses. I could actually see better through my old glasses than my newly purchased glasses. With the new glasses I could not see well enough to drive, could not read books or signs, had balance issues, could not enjoy watching television because it was blurry and I could not read the guide or text on the television. Went back five (5) times within two (2) months trying to get the issue resolved with a fifty (50) mile round trip each time. The staff was very polite and tried to help resolve the issue by making adjustments to the frames and lenses but all of the issues remained. Staff opticians suggested I pay additional money for an upgrade for what they termed to be better lenses (??what??). Finally lost all faith in the ability of Specs of Madison to provide glasses to help my vision and requested a refund. Specs offered a fifty percent (50%) refund of the amount that I had paid as my deductible, but they kept all of the amount (100%) my insurance company paid toward the new glasses. As a side note, the glasses at Specs of Madison are expensive. Lesson learned ($$expensive$$), go someplace else if you want a quality eye exam and glasses that you can expect to help your vision. Don't get scammed by Specs of Madison like I did.
