The Pet Mahal

My first and LAST time using Pet Mahal. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I was so worried about the shape they were in or I would have snapped pictures. I just picked up my two small dogs, and they are soaking wet and disgusting. As if they had been sitting in their own waste or the last 2 days. I’ve never had this happen before in all the 7 years they have been groomed and boarded. They are both panting like they are sick, and my white dog is red as if sunburned or scalded. Their bedding is also wet. It took staff an extra 15 mins to bring them out to me because they had to “hurry and clean them up.” I got two different stories from the workers about why they were filthy and wet. They didn't care at all, and couldn't answer my questions. When I questioned the staff about putting them in my car all wet and nasty the girl held out the towel she was using and said I was more than welcome to finish drying them off more. She didn’t offer to shampoo, or blow dry them. At this point there were 4 other people waiting to pick up, and it was getting busy. Once she handed me the leashes she went on to the next customer. Telling me I could take it up with Kelly in the morning. My dogs have never had an experience like this, but if they expect new dogs to be stressed then they should make more effort to take them out. Don’t just let them soil themselves in a kennel for days straight!! I didn't pay this much money for my pets to not be taken care of. Also, while I was waiting all that time I looked in the back where the dogs are taken out. It was awful. The patched together fencing has gaps, so beware your dog doesn’t end up on Dorchester Rd! This place is horrible!
