100% do NOT recommend this place. They are way too prideful to the point of disrespect. I went in for a battery change but they tacked on a lot of extra work. Which is normal, I’m not questioning that. However I tried to make it clear that I came to them for one thing, the battery. The rest I can figure out later but I just needed this one thing done by them. . Originally I was going to cancel anyways but I was charged their $75 inspection fee so I thought why not just let them do it. I call again before they close and they say there’s another problem that they absolutely must fix for an additional $175. The next day I look at my bill and it went from roughly $400 to now $1100. I call again and they say it’s a mistake and will fix the bill. The amount they fixed was still incorrect so I went into the shop and this is why I’m leaving the review. . When I went I requested that we just stick to the battery and I’d like to go elsewhere because the battery was all I wanted. Yes I have other issues with the car that need to be fixed but I didn’t go to them to fix everything. Just the one thing. I feel like I was more than polite and explained multiple times that it wasn’t because I didn’t trust them but because I have options and wanted to reach out to others first. Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. . After that they said they’re gonna take out the battery they ALREADY installed even though I agreed to pay and wasn’t pushing back about that. Their reason was ‘if you don’t trust us then how do you trust that we installed the battery correctly’ to which I told them it wasn’t that. I don’t doubt their skills because I haven’t seen the work yet and they have good reviews so why would I doubt their skill. All I wanted was a second opinion for the rest which I feel is super reasonable since I didn’t come to them for anything but the battery. Any good mechanic would support that you find exactly what you need in your budget. The lady walked away while I’m speaking (who does that) telling me no that if I don’t trust them (again said multiple times that it’s not that) that they won’t be helping me and they will reverse the work. All that additional labor when I agreed to pay and just wanted a second opinion on the rest. . I of course vented to my mother about this who called them because she also felt like I was being disrespected and they basically told her I was too dumb to understand what they were saying (of course not their words but how it was said made it come across that way) despite me both reiterating the issue and why I understood but just wanted to go elsewhere and them using basic English that anyone could understand but apparently I couldn’t in their minds. . I’ve never felt so disrespected by a business that prides themselves on their service. DO NOT GO HERE. One pro though: they ended up not charging me for the inspection fee. So maybe they aren’t all that disrespectful, but they could really work on the customer service skills because the way they acted was not okay and absolutely not professional. And they had the nerve to say they were going above and beyond. I don’t see how taking out a battery you just replaced when I agreed to pay is above and beyond work but basically that sums up how they do business. Their way or the highway. . Edit: They returned my car back in worse condition! They allowed the battery to completely die when it wasn’t dead before, just struggling. I knew they were going to do that which is why I was going to pay for the battery they installed. Now I can’t take my car anywhere until I can hopefully get a jumpstart. If not I’ll have to pay for a tow so thanks a lot to Rachel and everyone else’s exceptional service, you really did go above and beyond and did more than I expected by making my problem worse! Also regarding the owners reply, all I asked was for more detail and then they explained it so I accepted that but said I only wanted the battery. I never fought the cost of the battery or it’s necessity. Way to place blame :)
