Overall, I will give Tri-Point Flooring a B-. I would not recommend Tri-Point Flooring to anyone after the service my family received. Here is why. Long read below but promise worth your time and money. 7 years and $6K later. What I would say to potential clients, always look at the tiny details. Take your time to look at everything - for some of us we have been waiting a long time to do this project and use some of our family’s saving to make it a reality. If it’s not everything you want speak up. Our family experience started off well. We were excited to work with Roberto and Tri-Point. We vetted our options and went with him. Good relationship with Roberto, seemed like a straight shooter and well versed in his craft. He did help with giving us options for our floors and being patient with us. So for that I say he did a good job. The install went well, no real hiccups. On the final walkthrough I noticed right as I entered the door I black line maybe 4-5 inches long. The door didn’t cause it, not possible with the space. It was not coming off so it was definitely sealed in. I sent the picture to Roberto and asked him his opinion. He said he would send out his guy the next day to take a look. His team came out, sanded it down, re-coat, stained. Thought all was well and everything looked great until I noticed that something did not look right. You can see from the pictures what I mean, the small mark became an even bigger mess. So I sent that set to Roberto and asked him again what to do. A few days later another one of his guys came out to fix. Same thing a mess. Look at the pictures. Roberto said the only thing they can do is redo the whole hallway but without a guarantee that the rest of the dining room and living room would blend in with the new touches on the hallway. No guarantee was where we said no more. They’ve tried with this small mark and look how it turned out. It should have never been touched. We asked for a discount of 10% so 600 since the total cost was $6000. He said that was an insult. Sure it might have been but instead of him saying that he should come back with a number. He then told me $150. So from the pictures you see the mess that value to him was only worth $150. He settled for $200 + rug to cover up his mess. Think about that for a second. The funny thing he said to me when all he cared about was getting paid for a job not well done is they went above and beyond. Come on, are you serious? You are supposed to be professional and this is your final product. And then he asked how did I see the mark, which I then told him. For the money I am spending that is my family’s savings I am going to look at all details. Ironically that one was right there in front me, like it was meant to be there. What we thought would be a great experience for our family became unpleasant, frustrating, and most of all disappointing.
