Established in 1918 When our Grandfather Charles Roehrich returned home from WWI, he borrowed a horse and wagon and sold flowering plants at the entrance of Saint Michael's cemetery in Stratford, Ct. His father had greenhouses and a windmill on Hollister St in Stratford in the late 1800's where he grew plants and shipped them to New York by train. The Windmill Restaurant is located there now.
